Which laser would you recommend for a Glock 43?

None, lasers are useless. Get a TLR1 HL and use the savings for ammo or Trijicon HDs

ETA: nvm you said glock 43, TLR1 wont fit. TLR-6

I need a laser I can see in the daylight, not a flashlight that is pointless unless it’s dark.

Good luck. I think they have some advantages on a home defense weapon where they’re likely to be used indoors, but outside in the sun forget it. They may make one but I haven’t seen it.

Doesn't exist, you'll be squinting trying to find that thing in broad daylight. They're a gimmick for tacticool dorks. You wouldn't be using the laser if you had to shoot someone, and they have no use for competitive or performance shooting. Tremendous waste of money

The only lasers with a real use case are IR lasers used in conjunction with NV gear.

Low light use isn't even the best feature for a weapon light. They act as a counterweight and mitigate recoil, which is why comp shooters will run them even though it's daytime.

Go to any legit firearms instructor around and I guarantee you will never see a red/green laser on any pistol. They really don't work as advertised. They are useless in outdoor sunlight. As Carson said, the only laser worth anything is an IR laser working with night vision. We just don't want you to waste your money on something that is pointless.

White light is not just for night time. It's for any low light situation. Like a parking garage during the day, or if there is a power outage. It's far more useful than a laser.

This was a game changer when they changed the rules to allow them in Carry Optics.

This...

A micro red dot if you're wanting something for day light, but you'd have to get a 43 slide milled which probably isn't worth it.

The only thing you need on a 43 is a new trigger.

Red laser good up to about 10 yds
Green laser good up to about 20 yds

Have a buddy that shoots with them and is really good. I personally do not like lasers. Prefer a Red Dot any day.

Lasers really are useless, though. Fun and cool? Yes.

I put this one on my wife's Glock 43x https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2198428564?pid=428564 I got the green laser. It looks like they are out of stock there currently.

It works really well indoors and at night. In direct sunlight it is not that good. It makes it simple to point and shoot from any angle. She practices with iron sights most of the time, but occasionally uses the laser. It really helps to see what she is doing pre-shot. I have picked up a few shooting issues that she was doing, i.e. jerking the trigger, breathing, etc. and it made it a lot easier to point out to her and show her. I think it is a useful thing to have on a carry gun, save for direct sunlight.

That's the benefit I see for a nightstand gun. I think it's a very, very bad mistake for people to rely on them, but as an added capability on a gun where size & carry doesn't matter I don't see the downside. I've also used it the way you mentioned; they're very handy for practicing trigger control and grip.

The only kind I'd consider on a carry gun is something that adds negligible mass and bulk, like a CT grip laser. Outdoors they're pretty worthless.

I put a super nice trigger on my Glock 43. Amazing.

Also carry it with the extended mag. I know that’s a hotly contested subject but the gun feels so much better with the extended mag in my hand plus the additional rounds.

re: G43

The MagGuts +2 kits are great....adds 2 rds to the factory mag without adding length. Have 1k rds or so through mine w/o any issues. 8+1 feels much better than 6+1

FWIW, I don't recommend using any dot sights other than maybe night sights on a 43, but not much is out there that will help you see in daylight, other than a top mounted reflex sight. A reflex sight, light, or anything that ads to the profile of the Glock 43 just makes it less viable for what it was designed for. The lasers that replace the spring are not intrusive, but still don't help much during the day. Lasers reveal your location to the BG when it's dark. The BG sees the laser and usually one of two things happen. They bust outta there like a bean burrito at 10,000ft, or they immediately shoot at where the laser is coming from. Remember, with a laser, it takes a little time to acquire your target in the dark, so you reveal your location. Single stack 9mm isn't designed to have "stuff" attached to it. What I have learned is that with practice, in any fight or flight life or death situation, you won't be aiming at anything, you'll be pointing in the direction of the threat at normally very close range. The best advice I can give is learn to shoot instinctively. Get at the 5 yard mark wherever you practice, or 10 yard mark and shoot with both eyes open getting a feel for the pistol in your hand and the point of impact on the target. Do it enough until it becomes instinctively consistent. You'll be more accurate when you need to be. Believe me, when you need it, you're not going to think about taking the time to find that little dot, you're going to shoot with intent of eliminating the threat that made you draw your weapon in the first place.
