Exactly. Will Campbell last year in a small high school signing class of 15. Trey Holly already this year. Terrace Marshall was from North Louisiana as was Devin White.
What is the insecurity in North Louisiana about?
Look at the population. Within 100 miles of Baton Rouge there are 3.7 million people. Then there are 8.3 million people in the Houston/SETexas areas.
LSU has to recruit its lifeblood which is South Louisiana, Houston, and SETexas. North Louisiana is damn important but obviously LSU has to put its recruiting resources where the most players are. North Louisiana is not being neglected. Never has been.

Its not insecurity. We get players from N LA but the I20 corridor is loaded with D1 kids. Shreveport, Bossier, Ruston, West Monroe and Monroe. Those are just the big population areas, ever heard of Haynesville? its a football factory.
We can do better up there and BK knows it.

When we fired Les, Saban walled off north Louisiana

Haynesville has historically had some good football teams, but not many kids from there have been good enough to play for LSU.

There are some excellent players up in North Louisiana and LSU gets its share but I think the numbers of LSU caliber players up there are a little exaggerated.
LSU loses kids in South Louisiana too. Anderson, Ausberry, and Citizen just last year. Louisiana churns out lots of good high school players and you aren’t going to get them all.
Looking at the Top 30 Louisiana recruits (Dandy Don) from 2022 and there are 5 from North Louisiana snd LSU got the best one in Campbell. Decoldest Crawford was a commitment but decommitted and went elsewhere. Law went to Bama but definitely had an LSU offer. I don’t think you can say LSU isn’t recruiting the North Louisiana kids.

No. Facts are that last year of the Top 30 players in Louisiana only 5 were from North Louisiana. Will Campbell signed with LSU. Decoldest Crawford was an LSU commitment but changed his mind and went elsewhere (Nebraska?). Then Kendrick Law was recruited very hard by LSU but he signed with Bama. The other two I am uncertain if LSU offered.
How much effort do you think is required to recruit 5 kids because at that point I doubt LSU is recruiting many of the kids in the
30-50 range.
With no head coach or staff it was incredible that Brian Kelly pulled off the #6
Overall Class in 2022.

I’d like to hear his name. This is down right untrue

The former Neville coach that was at TCU is no longer at TCU.

And he is no longer at TCU.

Why the H--- has it taken so long to realize that Northern Louisiana has some good Ball Players.I went to West Monroe and we go downstate almost every year. Got to be some good guys there.

You must think NL doesn't know about football??? Somewhat insulting.
Posted on 7/18/22 at 5:28 pm to DeafVallyBatnR
U high has sent more players to Bama than most of North Louisiana combined.
