If Roger had it his way there would be no unions and we all know no regulations and no unions means a perfect work environment

It's probably the worst run, most inefficient department of the government.
It requires overspending to make it function, exactly like the medical field would be if the Feds take it over.
The people who give this country its worst health outcomes are the ones who have or are eligible for "Free" or heavily subsidized healthcare.
Its those on gubment care who are in the worst of health.

Nope. Just not for me
You can tie yourself to the lowest common denominator all you want.

Funny how you can’t actually bring up anything to prove your ramblings

Thinking anyone who may need or want help is a leach does make you the lowest common denominator

Son, you can't understand basic supply/demand and you want something more complicated than that?

Just you. Because you could do better. Collectivism is a race to the bottom for losers.
Why not have a public option for you people?

I can show tax plans that would cover proposed Medicare for all plans that would not increase taxes on the middle class and poor but you would just call it fantasy. I mean you could actually give a substantive reason as to why but you definitely would

You didn't answer the question.
Do you think American healthcare costs will go up or down if/when the government takes over?
It will probably go up. But that is solely because our government's processes for setting up this sort of system. Instead of actually letting experts figure it out and use all the statistical data that's available, all the lawmakers themselves will want their hand in it to make sure all their constituencies and backers get what they want. If it were done without Senators and Congressman sticking their fingers in it, the cost would go down overall.
Drug prices won't get better as long as they are financing campaigns of our elected officials. Yes we do need R & D, but sometimes all that happens is slightly changing a delivery system to get it off the generic list. Other times older drugs are still great, but because of advertising, people hear of this new thing and ask their doc, costing them more.

I’m working 40 hours plus and am a full time college student set to graduate next semester. I have never once been on food stamps or taken checks from the government minus student loans and the Covid checks But I guess me arguing for UHC makes me a leach.

Whats wrong with the public option for the poor?
(Ideologues will not be happy with it)

It would be better than what we have but why pay more money for a middle man where they’ll only pay for part of the costs anyway?

So what I’m hearing is you don’t have any actual reason to believe that we can’t make UHC work other than well this is what you think. And any attempt to deflect this is met with well we’re different? Truly a logical and based argument
The government taking full control over anything automatically increases costs and/or decreases quality of service. That's not even some sort of controversial statement. It's an absolute fact just like the sun rising in the east. The only way they control costs is to ration services (see every major western UHC). They don't streamline nor do they have any incentive to do so. And that's not even including the inevitable cost of fraud and abuse.
Do you think the VA is a program worthy of replication?
