Thats a bit preposterous...if you want to cap it at a certain arbitrary size, sure go for it, but dont expect other countries to allow our investors to buy thousands of acres of Ag land if we wont allow chinese to buy the same.

That's overly simple and too general, but fairly accurate. The truth has a lot more nuance and detail in it, but your not far off

My question about the Gates land buys and these China land buys is the price.
They seem to be overpaying big time, WHY?
Will they buy some of my timberland for 10k/acre? I would sell it all for that!

What's hilarious about this is they know they can buy up everything they want with no pushback because.... racist.

Buy land, folks. We are now selling our land to Foreigners. It’s been happening since early 2000’s. Bill Gates is the biggest investor. As my daddy said, “they don’t make anymore land”. Think about that. My 90 year old daddy has seen some things in his lifetime. I listen.
