Take your straw man argument elsewhere, and quit reasoning like a child. Not what was said or intended. This is no different than people saying including this means that Disney are all groomers. Twisting words to the extreme to make a point is in fact demonstrative that you don’t have much of an argument to make. I’ll say that the whole Valkyrie things doesn’t bother me as it comes from the source material, AND the movie isn’t directed at kids.

Of the character in Lightyear was straight would that add to the story? But you wouldn’t be bitching about it.
*If
If it was an aside inserted for no other reason but pandering, yes it would be annoying and distracting. If a kid’s movie were to include a family struggling to decide about getting an abortion, but concluding keeping the child was the right and moral decision, it would be equally ridiculous.
quote:
Well there are plenty of straight characters You need them to agree with you politically and socially too?
Are you legit saying there is no political or social context to this discussion seriously? But to answer your question, no I don’t. But I am also not insisting at every turn that they agree with me or be labeled a bigot.

Are there celebrations of heterosexual two parent families? Whole movies about them. Here are a few from Disney Inside/Out Turning Red The incrediblea Coco Luca Encanto Incredibles Heterosexual couples With families Play a much more prominent role In ALL of these Movies most of them are about the importance of family
A fair answer; I wasn’t super clear, but I meant are there any similar add-ins that celebrate a “normal” lifestyle.

What’s your issue then? What’s the problem with the “agenda” when it doesn’t make the movie worse and you don’t have an issue with gay people?
Gay people aren’t an adult subject. Gay sex is for sure, but you don’t need to talk about gay sex to talk about gay people anymore than you need to talk about straight sec to talk about straight people.
What’s the agenda? And why aren’t you ok with it?
So minor characters living in straight lifestyles?
Sure
Fro-zone has a wife in Incredibles.
There are like 10 minor relationships going on in Encanto.
Wall-E has the subplot with the two fat humans falling in love
I would Argue the two humans falling in love in Ratatoullie is a subplot in a movie about a rat that cooks
Riley getting into boys at the end of Inside Out doesn’t move the plot forward.
And none of these are bad. Romantic subplots are common. Characters having families is commons
And to the subject of this thread: the critic literally wrote the book on why Hollywoodmis bad because it’s woke.
But Thor dealing with a break up and his ex showing up with his hammer while stacking bodies is going to be amazing
