Well because abortion is murder.
Right. And that's all you really need to say. Don't pretend this is really about sparing someone else the burden, after all, when it's entirely about your personal feelings.

So Johnny, at a minimum, having to defend himself against a false rape claim is all good for you as long as you can have abortion?
Can you not be concerned with both?
I know one thing, an increase in poverty and crime in half the country is a lot bigger deal than some false rape accusations that will be thrown out with no physical evidence anyway.

If someone is raped I'm pretty sure they can get a Plan B while at the hospital while doing their rape kit.

People are concerned with this, but not the increase in poverty and crime that is about to occur because of abortion bans?
You don't like immigration because its a bunch of poor people and criminals causing a drain on the country? Well buddy, now the call is coming from inside the house.
This is emotional nonsense with no evidence to support it in any way.
The most likely result is that we start to reduce the MASSIVE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE on adoption waiting lists looking to adopt babies.

quote:"Administering an abortion" implies a procedure, and the woman is not held criminally liable. So Mifepristone is the work around. It accounts for upto 60% of current abortions, and is effective through 10wks EGA.
Anyone administering an abortion could face up to 99 years in prison.

I'd direct them to pregnancy centers, run by Christian organizations, who deal in helping guide women through those very pregnancies. I'd let them know that I am there for them but would also remind them that it is a human life that grows inside of their body.
How honorable. Meanwhile, your sister has to endure 9 months of pain and anguish, constantly being reminded of her rapist and the rape.
And risk severe medical issues. So frick right off w your virtue signaling.

You don't think having women who don't want the baby carry it to full term, then MAYBE give it up, won't increase poverty? Poor people are getting most of the abortions.
Then you throw people into the foster care system, or they grow up with poor parents that maybe don't even want them even if they did decide not to adopt them out. What kind of adults is that going to create?
Its common sense. In a survey 73% of women said being not being able to afford a baby was the reason for the abortion.
Just because you like a ban doesn't mean you have to be a total moron about the consequences of it.

If the law allows for Plan B, sure. If life begins at conception, you're still killing a kid according to many here.

If you are raped, you should go get plan B, take std/Hiv test and report it. Why you wouldnt want to take these actions is silly.

There is not an influx of babies entering the foster care system.

This would be a dumb decision on the part of the parents. It could be these people would make such a dumb decision because so many people keep repeating the lie that babies end up in foster care.

Very true, but you wouldnt know. Just because you were raped doesnt mean you are pregnant.

quote:When they don’t have rape exceptions, you also gut their biggest argument of “every woman has a choice not to get pregnant in the first place”.
If you grant those exceptions, you've just gutted their best argument.
Making someone who was raped carry a baby is effectively saying “some women will be forced to have babies against their will and I am ok with that”

I live in louisiana, everyone in this state is considered poor by someone elses standards.
Should we have all been aborted?
The they might grow up poor is the dumbest fricking argument ive ever heard. Legit evil way of thinking. Yeah, lets just start killing poor people! why dont we just line up the homeless and shoot them?
The majority of the world was very very poor for a very very long time.

I had a cousin take plan B and she ended up having a violent miscarriage (while swimming in the ocean, no less) and she had to go to the hospital and receive a transfusion. I had never heard horror stories like that until I saw it happen, but apparently its a known thing and some women are hesitant to take it.

You may be reading these posts, but you are either being intellectually dishonest(would not be the first time) or you truly do not get the pro-life stance, at all.

There is a clear difference between poor people and poor people who don't want a baby but are now forced to have one. Its not some slam on the poor, its saying "we did X, so Y is going to happen". Get offended all you want, there will be poverty and crime increases down the road because of this. If you're pro life, you're ok with those consequences.
