I have never seen any of these until recently. I saw the first one. It was good.
I still haven't finished the 2nd one.
It blows my mind there is like 5 or 6 of these things.

cash cow is generous every next Pirates movie made less and less
You sure about that?
Pirates 2 - just over a billion dollars worldwide
Pirates 4 - just slightly lees than P2
Pirates 3 - just under a billion
Pirates 5 - almost 800M
Pirates 1 - 600M
After production costs were subtracted, each film made a minimum of 1/2 a mil

I remember the people on here going “he will NEVER work for them again. He said so!” Not long ago extremely predictable that he would not be able to say no to the money (I’m not saying he should have, I found it funny that people bought that whole idea in the first place)

Disney Discarded this cash cow and are now willing to pay Depp a ridiculous amount of money to get him back...

Plus he's gonna get that $10M from amber

For that much money, I wouldn't blame him for agreeing.

what kind of LGBTQ+_/# storylines can they work into this franchise?

That link is North America only.
Worldwide Gross:
The Curse of the Black Pearl.....$654,264,015
Dead Man's Chest.....................$1,066,179,725
At World's End...........................$960,996,492
On Stranger Tides.....................$1,045,713,802
Dead Men Tell No Tales.............$794,881,442
All in all the franchise has $4.5B gross to $1.3B budget. Doubling the budget for advertising and you are still left with over 70% ROI

This won't return the franchise to its former glory. Disney will hack it down to size to appeal to their activist agenda. You'll still see the good ole Captain Jack Sparrow but he'll have a non-binary POC as his sidekick.
Maybe I'd buy this if the last movie wasn't the best since maybe 2. The first was amazing, 2 and 5 were good/pretty good, 3 and 4 were meh to outright bad.

Not many people can say frick you to $301M

The first movie was great, is still great, and will always be great. But after that...particularly after 2 & 3...meh.
2 was alright. Solid, but not fantastic. 3 was an awful bloated mess. 4 was surprisingly good. I didn't know there was a 5th one.

Before the Heard thing I bet most people would have rolled their eyes at another Pirates.
He had a great run from the early 90-early 2000's.
Benny & Joon
Ed Wood
Don Juan DeMarco
Dead Man
Donnie Brasco
The Ninth Gate
Chocolat
Blow
From Hell
Might as well make superhero movies if he does more Pirates crap.

I’m thinking a Pirates of the Caribbean/National Treasure cooperative. That would be so money.

Did you miss the first 5 movies?
Bringing Jack Sparrow back covers these bases...
