Well let me say that I'm 34 and have been going to games since I was 5 years old (here and away), and with the exception of a few occasions, I honestly and objectively have not seen that kind of stuff go on. Not to say that you are lying, but that's definitely not "the norm".

When I went to Atlanta last year, I had a group of Tenn fans (kids) sitting behind me and heard this fig's mouth the entire time belittle LSU, belittle the state of Louisiana, belittle the people, etc. I know not all Tenn fans are like that though, so I don't judge the entire fanbase of one group of idiots.

The home team wearing shirts & hats with various "cocks" innuendo on it doesn't bother you though?

I have a really hard time believing all of this. I've been to many away games as a student and have never witnessed that foul of behavior from our student section at away games. Sure, there's a few incidents here and there where I shake my head, but as a whole, our away game students our pretty respectful to opposing fans.

If our students are acting properly, then I'm sure the rest of our fans are too.

Ok, so you saw a typical pregame. What went on at the game that was so wrong?

Just hang around here for awhile and see for yourself. Some of these folks can't even get along together. You would think LSU was 0-5. Bashing college kids for dropping a TD pass (where a DB made good play) in a game, that the TIGERS won, shows NO class. But thats the norm around here. My daughter wants to see the Tigers play in person, but I will have to carry her to a road game, NO WAY I'm carring her to TS. Sad that some people act this way, but Tiger fans aren't the only ones. All fans bases have that group. Sorry to hear about your bad experince, some of us are here to enjoy our team and not trash their opponent. Sorry for my first RANT.

They're weren't shoving; they were trying to keep their balance.

This is actually a mating ritual (sorta') in Louisiana. If your girlfriend joins in, the attraction grows even stronger!

quote:

When LSU scores or makes a big play, dancing in the center isle or soliciting high 5's from young USC fans

Dancing is a healthy activity & it's also good to get to other team's fans while they're young so they can change team loyalty & piss of their parents.

Drinking in the stands (they were thrown out of the staduim)

I don't know what to say except that the South Carolina legislature might want to change this law so that fans can imbibe while watching a game without fear of reproach.

quote:

Throwing hot dogs to the visitor section (also thrown out)

LSU fans are widely known as the type who don't mind taking the time to feed other team's fans.

I'm gonna' go out on a limb and say that they were probably taught all of this, in a very short time span, by the very same adolescent kids you're referencing.

Constantly badgering of how sorry USC was

If you think we're unique in this matter, you don't know what you're talking about.

quote:

Tasteless, sexually suggestive T-shirts

Who's to say? One man's trash is another man's treasure!

quote:

Chants modified with curse words that apparently most of the fan base is familiar with

I'll look into this immediately! Not "curse" words...OH NO!

quote:

More intoxicated (full grown males) waving
chicken wings, dancing, and hurling insults to the USC band walking through the tailgating section

Perhaps you meant to omit this instead; sounds like fine, upstanding behavior that I've come to know, expect, and love from full grown male LSU fans.

"Pimps", beads, and sexually suggestive stickers are always nice

I agree! Thanks for pointing out one of the positives!

Did you get their names? I'd really like to, um, check up on them at the next game.
