Little late, but...
I had a very bad experience with LSU fans in Gainesville when I was fourteen, so I used to think LSU fans were awful.
However, I since found this message board, where the people seem (quite overwhelmingly) awesome, so that helped me change my mind.
Also, the LSU fans at the game this year in the Swamp were really great, I didn't hear a single rude thing from any of them tailgating or in the stands. I even made friends with two of them sitting behind us in the student section. So no, not all LSU fans are like that. Some LSU fans are bad, some UF fans are bad, some Clemson fans are bad. Mostly though, the fanbases aren't bad at all.
I forgot to add, if you want to talk about rude fans, the Miami fans were surprisingly obnoxious, considering how terrible they are. Thug U indeed.

and the funny thing about all of this was my grandpa being amazed with the young lady from south carolina on her knees simulating oral sex with a syringe of jello with her boyfriend also from south carolina...
