Recommendation for a good lesson

Looking to take a lesson on getting off the tee. I’m about 16 handicap but spray my tee shots. Who would y’all recommend around Baton Rouge?
If I don’t finish my swing I hit a huge balloon slice but when I try to overcompensate I hook the ball off the tee. I hit my irons wells but can’t figure out my driver.

I used to say the same thing. My problem was setup. Every YouTube video out there will tell you the ball should be teed up on your left heel in a wide stance. That produced a slice for me. I had a lesson and the pro told me to tee up the ball on the logo of my shirt (about 2 inches closer to the middle) which is still forward. The pro also strengthened my grip slightly from neutral.
The setup and making sure I use a big shoulder turn has me hitting 250 with some consistency. About 220 carry. It was nice when I was finally able to play a round and all my tee shots were playable.

Parker Brandt at the U club was fun to work with.

Could be an alignment/ setup issue.
Make sure your shoulders aren't opening up and facing left on set up.

Put the driver in time out for a while and hit 3 wood. I bet that cuts 3 or 4 stokes per round for you.

Interesting you mention this. I get a LOT of comments on my grip with the driver. My right hand is very non standard/ strong. Probably overkill strong. My driver is oddly enough the most consistent club in my bag which is unfortunate in a sense.
And I demonstrate the same tendencies as the OP. Over swing the driver and it can turn into a hook. Chop the swing after contact and slice. Makes sense. I think the other thing that affects the hook/slice is timing of shifting that weight to the front foot. If your hands are late/ behind your rotation, you slice. If hands are early, you pull or hook.
Mentally, I try to keep my hands in sync with my belt buckle. Back swing my belt buckle is pointed back away from the ball, at contact, belt buckle is at the ball, and follow through belt buckle should be pointed at the target or close to it.

Or get some lessons and learn to hit a driver.
OP a 2 way miss could be a lot of things. Have a professional take a look at it. Also, you may have a shaft that’s not right for you.

I mainly play at the island or uclub so I will get with one of those two.
I know it is an alignment thing but I don’t know enough to diagnose and fix it.

I left him several messages specifically requesting 3 lessons to maybe peak his interest and he never called me back. This happened a few times.
I’d go with Rob Murphy at Copper Mill. His set up and knowledge are great

Copper has a teaching pro?

He isn’t part of Coppermill. He is in the front and has is own academy. It’s a 2 bay indoor studio. RM Golf Academy is the name of it. It’s on Facebook. He has all the launch monitors, cameras and putting technology. He does fittings as well. My daughter takes lessons from him and really enjoys it.

If you’re thinking about all this during the swing I believe I’ve found your problem.
