Megyn Kelly is on a family vacation to Rome and is reporting.
I have been feeling a pendulum swing back to Christian values. A Catholic pope would help that.

Obviously, it is non-traditional for popes to resign rather than die in office, but I see this as a positive trend.

A Pope that is a Christian would be nice for a change.

I hope the Catholic church doesn’t frick it up again.

They have been dropping hints for a while now

I guess I can go back to asking if the Pope is Catholic as a rhetorical question then.
It a been decidedly less rhetorical under him.

Forget any hope for positive change. I believe the Catholic Church has become too political. Here in Houston, things are more conservative.

Good luck finding a Christian amongst a bunch of idolatrous Catholics.

Jesuits are not true Christians - there should never be another Marxist Jesuit pope.

Sounds like the Pope had a terrible May.

i had really strong hope for him when he came in and got rid of all the ornate stuff. really seemed like he was going to focus on a lot of good things, but then he got really political in the wrong way and toyed around with some heresy in the name of Social Justice.
i am all about correcting injustice and lifting people up, but when you put "social" in front of justice, you're just targeting your opinion of what justice should be, not what the Bible calls justice.

Full disclosure: I'm not Catholic.
He's probably trying to help nudge Tagle ("Chito") into the papacy while he still can. Chito is 64 and could have 15 to 20 years there. It would be a continuation of what Francis has done. A Philipino, they call Chito "Asian" Francis.
As far as American candidates, O'Malley is probably too old at this point (77). Burke is somewhat younger (73), but there is often a drive to put an even younger guy in there just to avoid having to do the selection again so soon. (Francis was elected at age 75).
Of the guys under 70, I like Hungary's Erdo (but he turns 70 this week) and Holland's Ejik. Either of these would represent a return to more traditional values at the top.
There are more papabiles in that 73 to 77 year old range and many would be more of a compromise choice between the factions. Sri Lanka's Ranjith would be a fairly traditional guy (certainly relative to Francis). Along with Tagle, the younger Italian papabiles, Zuppi and Parolin, would be more like Francis. Ghana's Turkson would probably be somewhere in the middle.

I hope that man repents of his idolatry and rebellion against God’s Word before it is too late for him.

The replacement will be just a bad at best.

She's on vacation there, but posted it on her Twitter page.
ETA: FWIW, Newsmax was reporting something similar back on June 6.

Catholics would be the church that Christ started.
