Michael may have done it, but there was not enough evidence to convict, at least in my estimation.
Couple that with the absolute top-down corruption that was in the Durham DA office at that time, and that Bureau of Investigation "detective" being found guilty of evidence tampering and/or downright lying, I'm not sure that Michael Peterson actually did the crime at all.
The prosecution in that case was full of shite from day 1.

They did an owl theory reenactment in the series I just watched. There’s no way an owl would’ve attacked her and not have her husband hear her scream as they both would’ve been outside during it. Plus she wasn’t legally drunk. Her autopsy showed her BAC was .08 and she had a very small dose of volume in her system.

IIRC, the Petersons had a massive estate.

Yeah but to me I think you would still hear her. I could be wrong though. It possible he couldn’t have I guess. But still wouldn’t explain the thyroid damage she had.

It not only was on the other side of the house, it was inside the house upstairs while Michael Peterson was outside the house by the pool some hundred or so feet away from the back door.

Michael Peterson is a lying POS. He did it.
What freaked me out was the fact that he used Sophie Brunet after she left her life in Paris to be with him. Of course, she was a dumb arse falling for his line of BS.

When watching the series I was half arse watching it at times. What about that guy he had a relationship with who was killed. He was killed in a similar way right? Or at least similar injuries as the wife had?
At one point I was thinking maybe his son could have did it, but Michael was the only one who could have done it. He was a true narcissist.

Both probably guilty, neither had proof beyond a reasonable doubt though, IMO.

Yeah there def had to be more to that. Both guys knew each other and had slept with Michael. Idk why they didn’t go into that more. The guy killed had the same injuries as Michael’s wife.

But that's what people like him do. They can turn on the charm when they need to. Then when you are no longer of any value to you they become who they really are.

Both did it. I would have acquitted Michael, there just wasn't enough evidence and you could tell the blood spatter expert was a moron early on.

Does anyone know anything about blood spatter analysis? How easy is it for these guys to create a report to fit any theory in a case?

The guy they hired did the exact opposite of the scientific method. Rather than doing an experiment and accepting the outcome, he set out with a goal and tried to do whatever he could possibly do to create the result that he wanted. It's shitty science.

If you doubt or believe that Scott is innocent, you're a special kind of moron. His actions after Laci's murder is more than obvious. Also, look in YT a video while he was being interviewed live at his home, days after her disappearance. His phone rang on live tv, he heard it, let it ring and ignored the call. What if it was someone who called saying "we found her". Guilty af.
Let alone his change of appearance, possessions and cash in car wanting to cross the border, etc. He got what he deserved.
