What a dumb take you do realize he was pitching against us on 2 days rest after throwing over 100 pitches

JAB said he isn’t a weekend guy.

He did pretty well against the #2 hitting team in the SEC

I'll take a kid with a 12.1 K/9 and 10/1 K/BB ratio any day, I don't care what conference he comes from.

Yes, the SEC in many opinions is the best overall conference in terms of competition, but to think that the USM pitchers would not be competitive in the SEC is delusional and tells me that many are not watching college baseball games outside of LSU games. The parity that exists in college baseball today is legit, there is not the big gap in talent that many on here think.

Nah he was going to walk on at LSU before his other offers came.

Just imagine how many “Aces” or potential aces have walked-on at big programs & sat, un-developed or under-developed, and then just walked away after his 4 year “Pine Ride”.

He would have been the friday night starter this year.

He throws 4 pitches, and his fastball and changeups have elite movement.

Hall isn't transferring. He's a god at USM. And, they were in the SR this year.

But, LSU is actively looking for aces on small schools who fit this marginal MLB talent mold.

They played TAMU? As far as I know he pitched an inning or 2 against LSU and yesterday against Ole Miss.
How did you come to this conclusion?

I don't have inside info, if that's what you are asking. And, NIL money certainly can come into play.

But, barring a large NIL deal I think this is all bullshite.

He may not dominate the SEC, but a strikeout to walk ratio like his comes out on top more times than not. Anyone that doesn’t see that doesn’t know baseball.

Tanner was not recruited by the SEC mostly because of size and projectability(love that word). Saw him pitch all summer before his Senior year at Zachary. He had touched 90 in a workout, but he was 85-88 on the mound during games. But he commanded the zone with three pitches. Hit locations more consistently than most at that age. He was down to USM and Southeastern. Girlfriend was going to Kentucky so he chose USM because of locality. After he gets done with TEAM USA this summer he will head to the Cape. Kid can most definitely be effective in the SEC. Sometimes good players get missed.

My bad. You are right. Was looking at SEC stats from about 5/1 forward and top of OM lineup was very hot. But for the season, OM was 7th in BA. But Hall pitched pretty well against a very hot batting lineup.

Good old Paul Hall. I grew up on Walker Dr with him and his mom Danielle. Great family
