IDK maybe doubling the price of diesel (that every single truck, train and ship uses) could have something to do with the cost increase?
Possibly China shutting down the largest ports in the world could cause price increases?
Maybe people trying to recover revenue that didn’t get bailouts from their government?
Could not stopping a war between two of the worlds largest economies impact pricing?
Would the Federal government flooding the US market with cash cause price increases?

It would appear that Youtube has successfully bots, and the product you see in the comments section is how a majority of Americans actually believe.
Twitter. . . on the other hand. . . appears to have a MUCH larger number of bots. That combined with the fact they've run off a HUGE chunk of conservative users, all you're left with is a left wing echo chamber, and bots adding echoes to the echo chamber.
