They forget gas prices are energy prices.
Most of our power generation down here comes from natty gas. Its not getting any cheaper.

Not only can people not afford it, the infrastructure from charging stations to power plants isn’t anywhere close to being ready. They may have 5-10% of what they need. Of course, they know all of this. It’s not about electric cars. It’s about stunting growth around the world, which will ultimately stunt population growth

when there are enough charging stations, the grid won't handle it
I think I read if all the cars were replaced it would be something like triple the current demand
and the big problem is transmission lines and towers, not enough power to remote locations
Imaging tripling all the ones you see, and nat disasters reseting the process on expansion.

Wait until they starting collecting road taxes on EV's from these folks.... you know the ones they avoid right now that are added to gas taxes.... watch them scream bloody murder.

It's not free to charge at those places. The stores are making money by allowing the charging stations to exist. So you aren't subsidizing anything...

If you had a double fistful of cash right now, ready to buy, you can’t find one.
Tesla is backed up for months. Ford has shut down ordering till next year on the lightning.
Both of which are about to be website order only. Which means there is a wait, sometimes long, for delivery.
So they can tout EVs all they want. It has no bearing on the here and now other than to attempt to deflect.
