It’s not hat ees Burg.

It’s Hat iz burg. Yankee ESPN commentators are the worst. Get someone from the Deep South to do these. It’s nails on a chalkboard like how they pronounce Lafayette.

From Columbia and we went to hat ees Burg to do anything.

That E is there for a reason.

And in MS, Lafayette is pronounced La FAY et. Not Laugh-e-et.

We really don’t have to. After this weekend I will probably go back to never saying it in my life.

Also, you should find a new job.

You are a terrible "Minister of Culture".

I've lived in Hattiesburg almost 16 years. I've always heard "Hatt-ees-burg". The woman it was named after was named Hattie. I doubt her name was pronounced "Hattiz" or "Hatt-uh".

You should go to Hattiesburg and lecture it’s residents on how to pronounce where they live. Apparently they are all doing it wrong too
