Tom Cruise was right about society and the overprescription of drugs for kids long ago

IDC what it is the man isn't 100% wrong. I don't agree with his full statement but I do agree that we overprescribed mind-altering drugs for kids way too much and too easily including Adderall which is handed out like candy.

We do it for adults too
If doctors encouraged healthy living (diet/exercise) rather than pulling out the script pad, we’d all be better off

And he got labeled a whack job because of his passion for the topic. He's always been over the top, but he's not wrong.

He got labeled a whack job because he’s a whack job. That doesn’t mean he is wrong on every single issue.

Big Pharma is one of the largest and most powerful donors to our politicians.

Love Tom dude is handsome AF at age 60, loves his country and hard work, and he routinely has the blood of healthy young Mormons (who are MAGA AF) and Scientilogists injected into his body as an anti-aging measure

Don't forget the perks given to doctors. Big Pharma wants you sick and dependent in order to stay in business.

My son’s 2nd grade teacher told my wife that my son needed meds. I said no way in hell. Not saying no one needs them but most don’t in my opinion. A good arse whipping would solve a lot of kids problems.
My son is a senior in HS now making good grades and stays out of trouble

My sons teacher told us this. I asked her why she wasn’t practicing medicine since she was a doctor and obviously had a medical degree. She didn’t like that.
I told her she needed to find another line of work if she couldn’t handle a bunch of 2nd graders and wanted them all to be zombies. Little kids evolved to have tons of energy so they could survive and I will admit asking them to sit still for hours is asinine and teachers should understand that. If they don’t they’re fricking idiots.
She got all offended and the conversation ended with if the shoe fits lady.
ETA. This was a private Christian school and this woman wasn’t that bright so the mention of evolution got her all riled up too. I might have dropped a “god must have just made him with all this energy and who are you to want him to be on medication” in there. Dumb bitch.

All he said is he, as someone who struggled with ADD, thinks people should focus on the underlying cause of their issue before loading up on drugs to treat the symptoms.
And the media lost its shite.
