Boosters can't be expected to spend millions on both facility upgrades and NIL deals.

shite is out of control.

The NIL money will have to correct itself or this sport will die a quick death. 99% of the programs across the country can’t compete with rogue boosters at 8&4 and Texas. Fan interest will die quickly as well.

This cannot last forever. Boosters will come up with that money a few times.

Overtime they will get tired of funding players who do not pan out or teams that do not win despite paying off all the players and lose interest in paying them.

What is the return on the investment. If it is not there the money will dry up quickly.

Then don't spend it on facilities

CBK can coach, but nobody can win without the Jimmies and Joes, ask Phil Jackson, Bill B., or George Steinbrenner. If you, we, or us don’t pay them someone will.

Of course you need players, but getting in a bidding war every year for the best players is not sustainable or practical. If that’s what the future holds, college football is in serious trouble.

There’s no ROI for these NIL deals. Boosters will get tired of forking over all this money really quickly. If their team doesn’t win big, they’ll stop paying. If their team does win, will they continue to pay? After one or two championships, it’ll get old really fast when you start counting what it’s costing you. It’s not an investment where they can see a real return. The money is going in the pocket of these kids and they’ll probably end up on another team the next year.

Well meaning people sometimes do the dumbest things.

Note: if a school has to arrange your NIL deal, then you don’t really have any value.

If you have value, the NIL deals come to you.

1. Set up collective.
2. Each seat in Tiger Stadium has an added collective fee @ $20 per seat per game.
3. Collect $20 X 100,000 seats X 7 games = $14,000,000.00
4. Pay the players.

Lsu doesn't have the big boosters you think it does compared to other schools. Some of us tried to tell you this would end badly but now the comments are "NIL ruined college football" "college football is dead" While a year ago when lsu put up stupid digital ads in Time square about NIL you all thought we were ahead of the game lol

You are right. Luckily Harvard and Yale alum are not interested in CFB.
