Auburn should host ahead of LSU, but UF hosting is bullshite. But, the committee goes almost entirely on RPI, and the Gators had a better RPI and made the SEC Tournament Championship. Also, getting swept by Ole Miss hurt a lot.

Just don’t schedule anymore in state weeknight games. Apparently even if you play them and win, it only counts against you. The committee would prefer that you just cancel them.

Nope. Auburn lost 2 out of 3 games in 3 of their last 4 SEC series and went 0-1 ofer in the SEC Tournament. The committee relied too heavily on RPI and I bet this mid-week game scheduling issue just becomes a bigger mess.

Auburn was 16-14 against conference teams. LSU was 18-15. Auburn did go 2-1 in their weekend against the Big 12 compared to 1-2 for LSU, but they also lost 2 of 3 to MTSU. Overall that put both teams at 19-17 against their top weekend/tournament opponents. LSU had 3 midweek losses, but 2 of those were to RPI #33 La Tech. Auburn had a midweek loss to #178 and a weekend loss to #132.

The resumes are actually very similar. LSU had one more loss. Auburn had one more weekend loss. LSU played more major opponents. Auburn won the head-to-head. LSU finished the season stronger. It really depends which factors you value more.
