Probably because Idi Amin Lloyd Austin and Biden/Obama admin & dems fought closing it.
There has to be a fairly high ranking individual on base that started this. They need disciplined.
It is sick. Frick the democrats for promoting this like it is common & trendy; and not just a low percent of mentally ill people. Frick them for disparaging those that call it out.

shite isn't new, I remember in 2015 in Qatar, not a warzone by any means, but with lessoning conflict around the globe it was one of fewer deployment areas at that time there were flyers for either a LGBTQ bake sale or fun run. 7 Years ago. frick whomever you want, I struggle to understand how this benefits the military hosting the events and socializing something that is meaningless to the bigger picture for troops.
By the way suicide rates are still at awful levels so being open isn't some stop gap savior for that.
