My kids don't have phones. I used to be a teacher though and you would be surprised how many parents thought taking their kid's phone away was keen to borderline abuse. It's no wonder how zoomers turned out the way they did haha

Can you take your kids phone away from your kid?
And yes, I could (and once did) take away a phone from a kid of mine.

He won't be able to tell time because it's a gizmo watch. FWIW, he's 11.

Try?
I bought the phone, I pay the monthly bills. There is no trying, when she loses it it’s mine for however long I say so.
Stop being a little bitch parenting.

U do realize there are apps that allow you to see everything being done on said phone?
Come on people…get ur head out ur asses
That being said…we held off until she was 13 to get a phone…was literally the last one in her 7th grade class to get a phone.

My daughter got in trouble at school for taking pictures/videos of someone at school and sending it to everyone. I slammed it on the concrete snd now it doesn’t take pictures anymore. I managed to turn an iPhone into a basic phone.

My kids do not have phone. I have phones that I allow them to use. As long as they live under my roof and I pay the bill, their phones are mine. That rule was made clear to them from the get go.

You'll pay out the arse for a flip phone potentially.
We picked up a gabbwireless phone. $20 a month. Talk and text only. Can't share pictures or video. It's Locked down. Works on Verizon network.
It's been great.

I cannot. My kids don't have phones.

Yes. I can also screentime the shite out of it and limit what they can use and how much time on each app. I also require approval on my phone for any new app.
Phone bed time is 8pm.

My daughter got one at 16 when she got a job. She had to to turn it in every evening. My son just got one at 15 now that he has a summer job. He gets it while he’s at work and it’s locked down to text, call, and music. He turns it in after work. I check it and any foolishness it’ll get locked down to just calls.

Um yes.
It gets taken away.
Simple.

We’re doing 15 but I agree. Theres a kid in our neighborhood that has a smartphone and he’s 10. IMO that’s way to young.
A stupid phone just to call home is more than enough.

I didn’t let my 11 year old have a phone to spy on him. Does my wife probably check it, yeah, but as his father he knows that I’ll throw it into the wall if he fricks up. That 11 year old knows and doesn’t want that.
I’m the same with my wife, I have zero reason to look in her phone.

shite, I can’t even take my own phone away from my kid without getting kicked.
