Any suggestions for getting best rate on rental car?

Any suggestions for getting best rate on rental car? Will be picking up car at Miami airport if that makes a difference.

Costco Travel tends to work out best for me.

Agree with the Costco plan. Saved $60 last week at MSY over the internet rate at enterprise for 3 days

Rent the cheapest car they have. When you get to the counter, ask them if they have any upgrades. 99% of the time, you'll get a Tahoe or a Jeep or something for like $20 more a day because they have one sitting on the lot. 1% of the time you'll get stuck with a crappy car.

None of this applies to MSY, home to the worst airport employees in the nation.

If your company has a corporate code use that. If not then Costco.

If you are certain that you will rent the car then look at Priceline/Hotwire. Priceline saved me around $150 for a 10 day rental recently.

Autoslash. After booking be sure to enter your info in autoslash to track and often times they will alert you if a cheaper price becomes available.
