Honestly other than my having to cross the Causeway for work, I really know very little about the NorthShore, so any advice good or bad is truly appreciated

It’s full. Go somewhere else.

But in all seriousness the North Shore rocks. Do you have kids? Are you looking for public or private?

the northshore isn't nearly as rich, clean, and safe as many would have you think... but it's also not as boring and soulless as many would have you think

Traffic sucks, you're on the Northshore, and a bunch of people who have very inflated opinions of themselves

The traffic getting around the interstate at rush hour is pretty terrible.

Thats all I got.

Good point. One thing about the Southshore/Nola, they definitely don’t have a warped view about the relevance of their city and self

Well, that’s where Covington Catholic is located, home of Nicholas Sandmann.

Oh, you mean Covington, LA…, sorry

Traffic is atrocious and too many folks are moving to the area. DSLD, DR Horton, and other sleazebag developers (along with the corrupt local politicians on their payrolls) are ruining LA1077.

Do you like getting shot, or robbed?

Because if so, you won’t like it here.

Bought my first house, got married, had two kids there, and lived there almost 10 years. It's a great place. Regret moving away actually.

I bet you $$$ the Grapevine/Southlake Target would make Covington look like people of Wal Mart

I’ve lived here 30+ years and I still love it. Great public schools, great restaurants, no crime, great playground’s and lots of neighborhoods in different price ranges.

Covington is a great place to live, though not all areas of Covington were created equal.

There has been a huge influx of people who are very opinionated about development, drainage and traffic on the Northshore so take all positions on those subjects with a grain of salt.

You are in for a long afternoons getting home if you commute and you live west of 190. Hopefully it will get better with road construction schedule to end in late 2023.

Lastly, if you haven't already join Nextdoor and laugh at how ridiculous people are that live around you.
