Food Aid jet filled with baby formula arrives in US from Europe

The first flight of baby formula from Europe arrived in Indiana on Sunday as the White House tries to address a crushing shortage.
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack greeted the arrival of a military aircraft carrying about 78,000 pounds of formula flown in from Germany in what the government has dubbed Operation Fly Formula.

Honest question: how much can a single jet do for a country that’s short on formula? I’m not even saying it’s a bad idea, just seems sort of irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Well, yeah. We've allowed 4 major companies to monopolize the category and each rely on cheap ingredients and additives from over seas. Has been a pattern for dozens of our staples for decades. We're fricked as consumers and can't do much about it at this point.

Why would I bitch? I'm not the one starting thread after thread about it. My squid used Nutramigen for a while after lanolin let my ex's nips down but that was 19 years ago.
