Your All-time Favorite "Big" Innings

Today has to be up there. Trailing 7-9 and scoring 11 runs in the T8.
However, on 5/26/96 in the South II Regional at the old Box vs Ga Tech, we took 10-0 lead into the top of the 5th, Ga Tech would plate 1 run in the 5th, 6 runs in the 6th, (SEE CORRECTION BELOW) and 5 more in the 8th to take a 12-10 lead in to the B8. And then it happened.
ESPN Clip (please disregard Olbermann)
We scored 18 runs in the B8 and went on to win 29-13 to advance to Omaha (where another big inning would happen).
CORRECTION: From Bengal Sporto on p. 2 and he is correct:

Best inning yes, but it was the 7th inning, not the 8th. And Ga Tech had not taken the lead. The had narrowed a big lead to only 3 runs, but LSU still led before The Inning.

Even though I was at most of those weekend series in our season tickets as a 5,6,7 year old etc. I wish I was older to actually remember and appreciate those dynasty days..

I remember a Sunday game vs Arkansas in 1998 we scored like 14 runs in the 1st inning or something like that.

Memory is a little fuzzy, but I seem to remember a big one against Cal-irvine.

1st inning of game 3 in the 2008 Super against UC Irvine was awesome
Was awesome to come out and blast them like that after the come back the night before and how they acted like figs with the hidden ball trick and all that bs

It’s the Georgia Tech game. I want to say because I was there lol. But honestly it’s because of it being a regional final and it sent LSU to Omaha. The Tech coach lost 10 years off his life in that half inning. He come out there kicking the dirt on the mound and and screaming at the pitcher it was funny. 18 runs, not a single home run and Warren Morris the World Series hero was the 1st and last out of that inning.

8th inning of game 2 vs UC Irvine in the last series at the old box will probably always be my favorite. What a time

Game 2 UC Irvine. It may have been the 8th. Maybe not from a runs standpoint, but from a overall meaning of what was going in. Potential kast game at the old Box, etc.

We listened to that game driving back from Panama City beach. We lost signal (wwl) and we’re losing when the signal went out. Picked it back up around mobile. Announcers were talking about everything but the actual game. Thought we were losing. Then they gave the score……. We missed the big rally……..

One of my favorite LSU sporting moments. UC Irvine was so bush league the entire series and then you had the last series at the old box. When we came back and won that game I knew there was no way we were losing the super.
ETA: it wasn’t the 8th inning in game 2, it was the top of the 9th.

Irvine after they played bush league baseball for 17 innings and then the chainsaw dick gorilla broke loose on their pussy asses for the next 10.

I’ll name something not listed. LSU-USC 2008 in the SECT down 4-0 in the 9th. LSU had no offense the entire day. LSU ties it with 4 in the 9th after Schimpf pops a ball into left the outfielder gives up on…LeMahieu scores from 1st. Very next inning Blake Dean walks it off for what was the 20th win in a row.
