Seems completely speculative although I know I've seen other smoke about this as well. Trading back does make a lot of sense for the Pels.

If Mathurin is gone or the Pels don't want him for some reason, there's a glut of wings with 3&D potential that seem fairly interchangeable. I think the Pels should stay put and get the guy they really want rather than acceptable leftovers, but value-wise it doesn't seem like it would be terrible to fall back to 12 for enough value from OKC.

If we trade back to the late 1st, then I wouldn’t mind taking someone like Jalen Williams. Big guard/wing with in insane wing span that shoots well and basically ran point for santa clara

There’s also an almost 1 million dollar difference per year salary wise between 8 and 12. That could be important to a team like NOLA where future salary is going to be very important. If you don’t see a big difference between 8 and 14th guys, and you can also maybe dump salary and pick up future assets, it is certainly in play.

Once you get into picks 6-15, there is no consensus.

Depending on what you can get in the deal, it might be worth trading back 5-7 spots where you could still land a really good player.

NBA.com has a list of all the major mock drafts. After the top 6 or so picks, it varies a lot.
