Better team - 2019 LSU vs. 2006 LSU

Top to bottom, in your opinion and taking into account the individual talent on the rosters, which LSU team was better - 2006 or 2019? Sure, 2006 lost on the road at Auburn and Florida, but many consider it to be the most talented LSU team of that decade.

Considering the 2019 LSU team is the greatest in college football history and 2006 lost two games, I'd say it is an easy win for 2019.

2019 would wipe the floor with any team including 2011. No one was stopping Joe that year. Our defense after the Ole Miss game was top notch.

06 gets romanticized a lot. They were damn good, particularly because Jamarcus and Bowe were by far the best versions of themselves that year.
But 05 essentially had 06's talent (minus a few freshman contributors, namely Keiland), plus these guys:
Addai
Whitworth
Nate Livings
Niswanger
Kyle Williams
Wroten
Things just hadn't come together yet, particularly in the passing game.

People like to ignore how important Joe Burrow was to that team. We lose 2 games, maybe 3 in 2019 if a less talented QB was taking snaps.

At the end of 2019 no one was beating that team. I do think 2011 would have had a shot against them early in the season, but overall 2019 is the best team ever because its the only Goat team (Miami and Nebraska the other 2) that had a stud NFL qb.

That’s what made them go from a talented really good team to one of the greatest of all time teams but he was surrounded by some dudes.

Put any competent coach in charge of that 2006 team and we’re talking about 2 undefeated teams. No way Auburn should’ve held that offense to 3 points, and Russell’s fumble at the 1 foot line against Florida changed the entire game. With that said, the ‘06 D was premiere but 2019 was an unstoppable force. So 2019

06 defense was awesome as was 07….19 defense took awhile to come around. 19 offense was UNQUESTIONABLY far superior. Burrow, Clyde, and receivers the real reason.
