Lifelong Rangers fan. New York isn’t a good place for him, and it’s very obvious. I look forward to him signing back with the Rangers in the offseason.

The most amazing thing about Gallo is he hit 100 career home runs before he hit 100 career singles. How is that even possible

You CAN’T continue to start a guy who’s batting .187

Better luck elsewhere

Feels like Joey’s first game where everyone thought he was the next Babe Ruth was 20 years ago.

Yankee fan here. The answer is a quick no.

Gallo seems like a good dude and his glove is solid, but he’s also the poster boy for why analytics cultists are often divorced from reality. He’s the epitome of a 3 outcome player, and he’s a career Mendoza Line hitter, yet analytics guys insist he’s a good to great player.

He’s hitting .190 this season, which seems like a down year for him until you realize his career average is .205. He’s batted above .210 in only 2 seasons as a pro.

You’d like a power lefty in the lineup with the short porch in right in Yankee Stadium, but it doesn’t matter if every game he’s 0-4 or 1-4 with 3 Ks and a bloop single.
