I'll never understand protests like this. On what planet would some random teenagers in Metairie, Louisiana have any impact on any decision made by SCOTUS or Congress or the state legislature, or, well, anyone?

Is there anything more pointless?

Do you remember ecole classique back in the 1990s?? It was the private school that took anyone - especially very loose girls?? And students that had been kicked out of everywhere else

And it was just a joke - insinuating that country day is trashy

ETA: although I did know a girl who went to Cabrini after she was kicked out of chapelle, De La Salle and Ecole

Believe it or not, that's what they wear to school..

For parents paying that much for their kid to go to school, they dress like shite...

I see boys marching with them. I thought, according to everything I read, they cannot have an opinion on such things?!?

Well its their right to do so. Dont be a bitch and move on sir.
Nope. Kids don't have a right to walk out of class and leave campus. It makes them truants.

School's email handled it fairly well. Didn't take sides on the issue, encourage respect of differing opinions, and enforcing rules with consequences for skipping classes. But I'd still be pissed as a parent if my kid was trying to leave campus in the middle of a school day and they didn't at least attempt to stop the students from leaving campus or call all parents immediately, more so if I'm paying that school $25k a year per kid in tuition to be responsible for my kids during the school day.

I went there in the early 80's.. There was only a couple of suspect loose girls.. But I did hear that the bar had dropped somewhere in the late 80's. I had fun going there.. still keep up with a few people.

Oh that’s nice - it seems the bar has been raised again and it’s a pretty good school again

I never really knew anyone that went there but heard stories from the Metairie girls in high school

I think all protests are stupid and pointless, but this is extra stupid and pointless.

These kids got exactly what they wanted; Social media recognition and ditching school. Don’t overthink this one. These kids aren’t sitting around discussing Roe v Wade.
