Elon Musk says if his bid to buy Twitter is successful he will reverse Donald Trump's ban from the platform.

Twitter's decision to ban the former US president was "morally wrong and flat-out stupid", Mr Musk told the Financial Times Future of the Car summit.

The ACLU supports Musk on this issue.

What does truth have to do with freedom of speech?

He may not personally use it but I have no doubt his campaign team will.

The joke would be millions return to Twitter and Truth would continue to flounder.

While I wouldn’t deem it morally wrong more hypocritical than anything having Trump back at the very least would add some entertainment

Twitter banning people isn’t a free speech thing unless you’re also arguing to make Twitter an online version of a town square

When government chooses to make official announcements and advisements on the platform, it becomes such. Like it or not.

Yes, it is a "free speech thing". While not covered under the first, twitter banning people based on their ideology is most certainly an infringement on free speech. Just because a company can do something, doesn't make it right. Then again you don't care because you're all about limiting speech at all levels that doesn't fit your particular ideology.
You're an authoritarian statist, so you see nothing wrong with authoritarian statist things....even outside the government.

Ok then you’re in favor of making it a public utility because that’s pretty much the only way you can claim it’s a freedom of speech issue because that doesn’t apply to private companies

Freedom of speech only applies to the government not private companies

Thank you for making my point.

And Twitter has nothing to do with the government as it’s a private company unless you want to nationalize Twitter your complaint holds no weight

Are they a platform or a publisher?

I can draw it out in crayon for you if that helps.
