I'm not here to bash on the kid, but he has obviously been struggling lately. IMO we can't keep giving up Game 2 every weekend because he can't last longer than 3 innings. He could still be an asset out of the bullpen. It seems to me that our best weekend rotation going forward would be Hilliard/Dutton/Collins, but there are people here who are certainly more knowledgeable about baseball than me. Thoughts?

I agree. I believe he may have lost his starting position after this weekend. I'm curious to see what the rotation will be next weekend.

I agree. I like Hasty to mix it up but he is so valuable in the spot he is in I don’t know if I would change him.

He can’t start another game for us. Idk the answer but I know he isn’t it.

I wouldn’t mind if we put Hasty in a weekend starting role, but, in doing so, he wouldn’t be available at any other time during the weekend.

Coleman getting hurt probably keeps both lefty’s in the pen:

Friday: Hilliard
Saturday: Floyd then Money to get you to the 6th then the bullpen
Sunday: Dutton the. Taylor to get you to the 6th then Bullpen.

It’s unconventional but it could also work with how good and deep the bullpen is.

I’m thinking Fontenot has been sandbagged and can be in the starting rotation. Today made his 18th appearance of the season.

Floyd looked good with his improved secondary pitches. You already know he has the endurance, it’s just always been straight fastballs. I would think he may get another shot now that he’d proven he can control multiple pitches.

It’s pretty impressive we just won a road SEC series with our starting pitchers combining for less than 5 total innings. Shows how strong the bullpen is right now.

I think Money is inside his own head and the best thing JJ can do is let him get confidence back through midweek games and bullpen.

Did Money ever recover from his injury?

He can’t go three innings right now. Be needs to be a one batter or get out of an inning guy

There is just no way he stays in the weekend rotation after this outing. He will time out of the bullpen but he cannot start again.
