Doesn't this mean if CP3 commits any flagrant fouls this game, he will be suspended for game 7?

No, he has 2 points now.

It has to 4 points

So if he commits a flagrant 2 and gets ejected tonight then yes he'd be suspended for game 7.

Well, there is still 1 more flagrant they've refused to assess on Paul

Ah my mistake. I thought it was 3 points.

So we need Herb/Jose to piss him off enough for a flagrant 2. Although, the first flagrant CP3 committed could've been a flagrant 2.

The rule is worded oddly. It says you must exceed 3 points, which onthe surface is saying you need 4 but I don't get why it doesn't just say 4 points then.

Also, the Suns fans have whined for 6 games how about how dirty the Pels are, and they now have twice as many flagrants as we do.

b/c you can theoretically get to 5 points

What was the first flagrant? The karate chop on Herb?

Yup.

The NBA refused to give him a (deserved) flagrant for the push on Herb just before Herb pushed CP3 (...and got a flagrant)

I am still amazed they didn't call Jose for a foul for being close enough for Paul to kick him on the shot

like i said about the swipe at Herb face, if Draymond had done that, he'd get ejected, and same goes for this kick to the nuts.
There was nothing about that play that was a normal basketball move, and he without a doubt intended to kick him. Why they didn't review that in the game and kick his arse out is ridiculous.

Seems like kicking someone in the balls would be a flagrant 2 if it's called live in the game. Unnecessary and excessive contact. Why was only a flagrant 1 retroactively assessed?

probably b/c if they gave him a F2, he wouldn't be able to play today, and they aren't going to do that to the "good guy" CP3.

Not sure how it is not a flagrant 2. It is certainly not a basketball move and is excessive with intent.

That’s not correct. He’d still be able to play today if it had been called a flagrant 2.

It has to be "unnecessary" and "excessive" for a flagrant 2. Just unnecessary is a 1.

So I guess a kick to the balls isn't excessive

But then should have been ejected in game 5 and the league does not want that fire storm. I do think CP3 will get assessed an early foul or 2 though.
