I’m glad he has the polling data to support this. However, even if he didn’t, mandates are still necessary imo. Yes, myself and others will continue to wear them out of sensibility, but when the uninformed masses are so prevalent that is when mandates need to be used to ensure safety.

The best data suggests that a very specific type of mask, fitted properly and worn properly MAY limit viral transmission.
But very few people have ever worn the right mask properly fitted and worn it correctly.

You know who else incessantly wanted proof before moving to action? The US government circa 1939-1945 before they would act to take in Jewish refugees or take the fight to the Nazis. They got their proof in 1945 but it was too late
