I certainly wouldn't. Judge was insane to turn down that extension. He must want out of NY

You know it’s bad when Steve Cohen said he wouldn’t even offer that

Judge wants to be the highest paid player and if he was 26/27 then I would agree. A healthy Judge is a good 5+ WAR

That was quick on a tapper back to the pitcher for a DP

Walked Miggy to get to Meadows and it backfires, should have pitched to Miggy

Tony La Russa has Leury Garcia (career .660 OPS, 2022 .232 OPS) hitting third today in front of Abreu, Grandal and Jimenez.

Fielder deal shouldn't count because of injuries and the Tigers didn't pay for it because of insurance
worth pointing out that insurance only covers part of the value and is renegotiated regularly. Considering his age at the time and previous neck surgery, the rangers might have had to eat close to half of the money fielder got to walk away, if not more

Sadly for Fielder he was still productive during his healthy season posting a 2 WAR. In fact the 3 seasons he played at least 90 games he posted a 5.3, 3.1, 2.0 WAR. His two injury shortened seasons he was 0.0 and -1.6. Healthy he would have been one that challenged the value vs contract never having an MVP season but a lot of solid ones.

Soto is the best player in baseball, Cruz still hits it hard

This is just, Jesus Christ! The MLBPA needs to ban Casey Close from baseball, what a shithead. He basically sabotaged Freddie's career:

quote:

One final note on Freeman's FA. DOB said he talked to people out in LA including Freeman. He said it was all off record so he wouldn't say exactly what happened or who told him. However, he did give the general idea. He basically said Casey Close, the agent, went rogue and wasn't really communicating with Freddie like he should have been. Freddie was said to be unaware of the ultimatum made. Now some of that falls on Freddie cause DOB said he wasn't exactly forcing the issue to get info. Basically, Freddie was totally out of the loop, his agent got greedy and was solely focused on milking every cent out of someone instead of focusing on what his client wanted. DOB said it was 100% clear being around Freddie that he really would rather be in Atlanta. He said Freeman spent more time with the Braves than Dodgers over those 3 days and his heart is still in Atlanta but bad representation and inexperience with FA negotiations landed him in LA. Just a total break down of communication from multiple angles.

DOB is David O'Brien, the longtime beat writer for the Braves for the AJC and now The Athletic.

What MLB is doing to Trevor Bauer is disgusting. Either say he is suspended or not, this extending his leave is a joke

Fixed.

Soto is the better hitter, but Acuna is the better overall player.

You're a Dodgers fan, I wouldn't expect you to understand.

Now saying that, Freddie isn't w/o blame.
