U r dum

You don’t get how the NFL works: 1st round draft choices’ salaries are slotted (predetermined) at a low number for four years (+ one bonus year). This number for rookies until their year 4 or 5 is a tiny fraction of what a player will get with his second contract after the predetermined rookie deal expires. If a Stingley does what you say, his second contract would be tiny or non-existent.

High Draft choices have to prove themselves during their first four or five years to maximize their earning potential.
