Who was a serial rapist and eventual murderer
And how the University and Paterno did
Their best to stop publicity about it

Dude was a psychopath

A very long story but worth the read

Seems pretty tame when you consider they covered up for a kid diddler for decades.

Actually had some time this morning to read a good chunk of this article. Absolutley nuts. frick Penn State, and everything about that place. Are people just allowed to go around killing people and raping people up there? Joe Paterno is a scum bag piece of shite.

How Penn State athletics is still an ongoing thing just blows my mind. The entire Penn State athletics department needs to be shut down for a decade then reopen with entirely new leadership.

Simply disgusting

Article was worth the read.

The most infuriating part was the judge who granted bail, AFTER he was found guilty of rape. The probation officer should also be quartered for his incompetence.

Just a failure of the legal system at every single turn in that story.

TL;DR

Everyone involved, except the victims, are or were pieces of shite.

The multiple attacks that happened after this..... disgusting callousness by the jock-sniffing judge that enabled those crimes to occur. Thankfully there was someone (the eventual prosecutor of his NY crimes) who refused to let his case slide through the cracks come parole-hearing time. It should've never gotten to that point.

IMO Wisconsin should retroactively be given the wins in the B1G Championship against Penn State and OSU

Legal system sucked. But I fail to see the “evils of Paterno” in that article

He kicked the dude off the team, and even told other players if they testify for the rapist they will be kicked off the team

While the judge deserves plenty of blame, the parole board who granted him parole after only serving 3 years has just as much blame. Sickening that they felt a rapist was good to be released to society after only 3 years.

I'm ready to burn down the criminal justice system after reading that.

Not entirely about how he handled the Hodne guy. His football players and program for years upon years looks like they were able to prance around doing whatever the frick they pleased with no repercussions. Paterno is scum.

Did you see the part in the article where the Karen chick felt like Paterno basically threatened her over the phone, when he found out about his player?

Which one? We've embarrassed them more than a couple times in the B1G title game.

That Part of the article was horseshite. Karen couldn’t remember a single thing, except she said “I think I feel like he may have called me and inferred he didn’t want me to talk”

That was complete horseshite to include in the article. The journalist you could tell tried to talk her into saying anything about Paterno

Nothing in this article actually points to that, in fact t kinda does the opposite. Multiple guys kicked off and suspended for things where other programs didn’t give a shite about it at the time
