Ok….. I know they have been discussed on the board in other threads, but I just got back from playing a round and it is worse than anyone said.
The poa grass (or whatever it’s called) has carpeted 80% of the surface of a few of the greens . There is no rolling the ball. I saw good putts today jump 2 inches up, 2 inches right and 2 inches left.
If you do decide to play, make a two-stroke max rule for any player hitting the green. I’d even go a step further and say any ball hit within 10’ is one stroke.
That was bananas. I know it will die after the first big heat wave… but still

Yep....clearly worst of the bunch. The coverage was 90% of the green.

Maybe you just aren’t that good with the flat stick?

Beaver creek greens this weekend we’re also awful, which was disappointing. They’re usually in much better shape

If I remember correctly, they were waiting on the weather. They’re supposed to be making some changes on the greens, but needed it to warm up. At least that’s what they told us a few weeks ago.

Played Greystone last weekend and the greens were looking great. Very impressed compared to what I’ve seen recently at Copper Mill and The Island

Played Greystone on Friday, best I've seen the greens in a very long time. Besides the temporary green on 11 of course

Any updates on their greens renovation?

Currently waiting on grass sprigs to be cut in Georgia. The grass farm is saying it’s still too cool to cut. Still lots of other little projects going. Check their Facebook for pictures.

Heard end of July opening
That seems ambitious based on this report

Looking more realistically at mid August to early September.

I told a buddy that plays there regularly, no way they get a renovation done in three months like they were told. I hope it turns out great, love their layout.

I hope they add some slopes to the greens. I like the two tiered ones alot.
September would be ideal time for them to re-open.

Greens used to be lightening and they played plenty tough with the sloping they had. Just need to get them back in good shape and quick. Which they are doing

And make them bigger.

The plan is to restore to original size
