She would be correct more often than not. It’s the same with blm and other similar causes. People like to toot their own horn and get attention.

Anyway in regards to being the same with the Ukraine flag waving I definitely just have anecdotal evidence as the only people I know waving Ukraine flags of any sort are same people who bought into Russian reset, Obama’s the 80s called when concerns about Russia brought up, and ignored or were ok with Obama’s back channeled promise to Putin of doing more after re-election. They went along with or ignored Russia until November 2016. Having to ignore that and then lump Russia with their Trump resistance for 4 years their look at me flag waving today is mostly about their long TDS not actually caring about Ukraine or Ukrainians just as their resistance crap including flags was before.

TLDR The Flags are fine. People hating on them are stupid or 14 yrs old.

99% percent of people flying that flag don’t have the first clue about the genesis and issues surrounding the war. And what is worse is that they have no desire to learn.

A few around my hood. It’s fricking cringe as hell.

I’m pulling for Ukraine. I spent time there working with the Ukrainian military. Beautiful country full of great people who don’t deserve what’s happening to them.

But this virtue signaling bullshite here is a joke.

100% “I Support the Thing!”

I hate what is happening to them as well but it absolutely is just the latest virtue signal. There's probably some sort of bloody conflict going on right now in Africa or some other 3rd world shithole that nobody cares about.

There is an actual genocide taking place in Myanmar right now. How many Myanmar flags have you seen? How many news reports have you seen?

Well the difference being this was what is becoming a Western country being attacked by Russia.

Ukrainians think of themselves as European, and so does Europe. So while not a direct attack on Europe in the traditional sense, it's pretty damn close. That alone means it's going to garner waaaaaaay more attention than a bunch of tribes down in Africa slaughtering each other.

That’s interesting. What was the reaction when Europe and the US staged a coup in Ukraine in 2014? Why weren’t there Ukraine flags hanging everywhere as we watched a sovereign democracy fall?

Someone in my neighborhood just put one up. Never thought it would happen here. Might as well be a trailer park at this point.

The fact you got 2 DVs just proves people have no clue what's going on with Ukraine. I'm sure they had their "I'm with her!" Tshirts on in '16 and are now convinced Russia is the devil. I'd like to see them reconciliate Bill and Hill making millions selling Putin uranium. Uranium One ring a bell?

This conflict is like Al Capone and Bugs Moran fighting over turf in Chicago. Not sure why I need to be "with" any side.

I have only seen one Ukraine flag in the neighborhood. There were zero Canadian flags during the trucker protest. There were at least 3 or 4 “Hate has no home here” signs in 2020, which was great because I can tell who not to vote for by the signs in those yards going forward.

A family moved from California into a house in the neighborhood. At the start of the BLM/George Floyd protests, the wife used sidewalk chalk to write messages about how to bail out arrested protestors. That lasted a day or two until it got messed up. She re-wrote the messages but on their driveway.

Signs at the neighborhood park that said it was closed due to COVID were gone the next morning. America!

You should be on the side of the people who were attacked and had their homes and lives destroyed.

It's not complicated.

Ukraine is not Russia. Never has been, never will be.

Not a single one. People in my neighborhood think it’s either none of our business, or they just plain don’t care.

LOL, Ukraine has ALWAYS been Russian. Crack any Russian history text, and chapter one is literally “Kievan Rus”.
