Both are tGOAT to them and it isn’t close. They only watch that respected sport when they’re playing.

And you can’t say that Jordan or Nicklaus were equal to or better because they were a different generation, they couldn’t hang with the evolution of the game or, in golfs case, technology.

I’m willing to bet if someone is a fan of one they are most likely a fan of the other.

I think you’d lose that bet. I’d bet more Tiger fans are Jordan fans. They’re from the same generation. Tiger won his first masters while Jordan was still on a run with the Bulls.

Courses have become longer. Golf is just as hard and tiger has the numbers to be the best and it isn’t close. He is fun as hell to watch. Nicklaus would tell you the same.

Jordan could still take lebron.

I’m sure I watch more golf than you. Tiger is not only my favorite, he is nearly every other tour player’s favorite. It’s Masters week, lighten up.

Tiger is an Alpha and LeBron is a beta. That's the main difference between why one is beloved despite all his foibles and one is despised despite being relatively "clean".

There is a real debate about Tiger and Jack. Tiger has 15 majors and 82 wins. It’s not clear that Jack is the GOAT. There is no debate about Jordan and anyone else. Jordan is the GOAT.

You will lose that bet more than you will win it.

I happen to think that both Jordan and Tiger are the best ever at their sport. With Tiger, there really isn't an objective argument to be made that, at the height of his career, before the injuries, he was by far the best golfer of all time.

As it is, Tiger is tied for the most career wins on tour, and is second in majors. But the pace he was on before the injuries was something that Nicklaus wasn't close to.

Arguing that Tiger isn't the best golfer ever, is like saying that Sandy Koufax isn't one of the greatest pitchers of all time, because he didn't win enough games; ignoring the fact that injuries cut his career short.

And Tiger didn't just win tournaments. He often blew the field away like a football score. When he was really on, everyone knew it was over, and you could see it in their faces. I miss those days. I don't get much of anything out of watching a bunch of good golfers rising and falling in relevance. I liked watching utter dominance, and the chasing of history. That's something you probably only see once in a lifetime, and I'm really not sure it will ever happen again, in golf.

I'm pretty neutral on Tiger Woods as a fan but there is no doubt if there was a Mt Rushmore of golf Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods would be on it
