He's one of several guys in AAA right now. Stevenson, Freeman (I think), Robertson, Deichmann, and Bugg at least. Probably more.

Feduccia is in AA I think. Todd Peterson is in AA.

I think Jacoby Jones is in AAA as well, but I forget which team picked him up recently.

Fraley’s beard is intense. It’s also awesome to see Austin Nola having success.

Is Jacoby Jones in AAA, nevermind you answered my question as soon as I was writing it.

Aaron looks a little rough.

I’m in San Diego. I’ll be catching their home season opener while I’m here. Saw Austin play a few years ago with the Zephyrs then the fiercely named Baby Cakes. First time I’ll be seeing him in the pros

Wait, when did Nola move to catcher? I've been living under a rock apparently

I assume at some point in the minors.

He made his debut a little older than most but was very solid.

He started the transition his last season in the Marlins org. They then released him and he signed as a minor league free agent with the Mariners. The assistant GM that was in charge of signing minor league free agents for the Mariners that year said later on FanGraphs podcast that Nola had the highest make up score of anyone they've ever signed. He was part of a Mariners MLFA class that ended up producing close to double digit WAR that season.

After he proved capable of catching in the majors, the Padres traded for him to shore up their catcher position for a playoff push.cher

Of all these guys, who do you think is the best baseball player? I’d go with Bregman, LeMahieu, and Nola in the top 3, in that order

Nola is the best Bregman has the highest ceiling and LaMahieu is on the down side of a very good career.

Currently is Nola.

During their careers it’s tough to beat what LeMahieu has done. He is the only player in MLB history to win a batting title in both leagues.

Bregman could end up being better than both. He had a down year last year but that was mainly because of injuries.

Papierski too, he replaced Gurriel at 1B in the Astros’ final exhibition game Monday but went 0 for 2

Thanks Lucky.

I figured Vandy might. They've had some great pitchers come through.
