Well,I do agree this is not a very good defense so far. Still,he does wallow in LSU's shortcomings.

Where's the aggression on D nowadays?

miles specifically said today they did not want an aggressive scheme against UF

so basically the same ole, same ole defensive philosophies against option-based teams

if you didn't notice, we sucked against any form of the option the past 2 years

LSU's defense has played poorly this season. No one can honestly or rationally dispute that. Use whatever adjective you prefer, but this defense has not been good.

Honestly,as long as Les Miles knows (regardless of what he says in a press conference)that this defense has major issues, that's all that matters

does les realize this and/or care?

we've seen 0 adjustments post-Auburn

Our defense has many talented players but we need to stop blowing ourselves and realize that every team has good players. My biggest concern is why we NEVER BLITZ. We sat back and spread the field out just like florida wanted us to. Why don't we ever send more than 4 or 5 players. It seems like good things always happen when we blitz (Ali Highsmith vs OSU, Chad Jones vs Alabama, etc, etc). I chalk up that loss to coaching and forcing a redshirt freshman to throw the ball all night. And don't even get me started on how bad the O-Line played.

You left out from 05:

Kenny "Imma get 200" Irons

Other than that, we were pretty good

Oh yeah, that's true too. Plus, AZ State was pretty good that year and gave USC a helluva game.

AU and MSU are both ranked in the 100s in offense and they both got 20+ points on LSU. those were bad games when you look at teh quality of opponents

Heck, even G Tech's D held MSU to a measly 7 points and ran all over MSU's D with a backup QB. That same MSU team was a dropped TD pass from putting LSU into a very sticky situation in the 4th Q. I am not impressed with any aspect of the team at this point. Regarding the DB's, I don't think they have enough experience to play extended minutes one-on-one, but anything might be better than the status quo.

It is bad. The proof is in the stats, esp against FL. No other explanation forthcoming that I can see. Can you?

pre-UF our OL was awesome

Lee has been good

Lafell cannot be covered

pre-UF scott was the best RB in CFB

Per some moron yesterday they only scored on us when the game was well in hand. He also informed me that we didn't prepare for a WALK-ON qb, that was the problem...no biggie.

+1

Our WRs, along with Dickson, have played very well. Few drops.

OK, I slightly exaggerated, but the O line has not looked good the last two games and Lee has been erratic enough to keep from moving the chains in many instances.

because after losses teppertigers come on here and act like baghdad bob, saying nothing is wrong, everybody for LSU did well, and we just got unlucky. that darn opponent played their hearts out b/c LSU is their superbowl

So the opponent never beats us or plays better than us? We're just bad and that's why they won? UFG played their best game of the season. They have tremendous athletes. A bad combination if you come in unprepared and/or over-confident.
Wow, Can we get a special rant area just for the negatigers to post and cry to each other?

Right now it is just ONE loss. No it was not a good game, Yes, we have a LOT that needs to be fixed. The key, IMO, is that it can be fixed. I was there. It was UGLY. It pissed me off too. Made me wonder what went on during the extra week to prepare.

Season is not over.

Did not read the entire thread......but our Defense is awful.

Anyone who says different is in denial. Thank God Spurrier does not have better athletes, we would be in the tank.

If I was him, I would install the option right now, we still cant guard the pitch man. There are D coordinators all through US high schools that could have stopped it and forced FLs hand.

"AU and MSU are both ranked in the 100s in offense and they both got 20+ points on LSU"

I agree with the general proposition that the D has not played well of late (and even that it did not play as well in '07 as often believed). However, the defense only allowed 14 points to Auburn; 7 came on Lee's pick-six.
