Any competent coach or player, who wants to be at LSU, I welcome.
WW was dismissed and the whole team left as he exited. That is very questionable. They cannot follow him, did WW direct them away from LSU? It sure looks like he « tore it down », as he left.
Cheer for the new players and coaches….it is the only rational choice.
What happened in the past, real or alleged, is in the dustbin of LSU Athletics history…

A 247 poster said that the players were told their scholarships wouldn’t be renewed. Nickelberry said Wade didn’t even speak to the team after he was dismissed. It seems obvious the athletic department wanted to nuke the program and start over. Bold choice.

Nickleberry probably was not loyal and Wade knew it maybe….I know he sounded pretty unprepared for the interim gig, and he was exposed for that.
Wade has to begin again, from scratch, and he will be better for what he learned and experienced. For Nickleberry to be back-biting, exposed him to his detriment. If anyone refused to renew the scholarships, it surely was not in Wade or Nickleberry’s purview. Wanna bet their stuff is cleared out of the building???

If that is true, didn't McMahon say he wanted to keep several of the players and that one of his first jobs was working on retention? Sounds like disconnected statements to me.

Another rumor circulating was that that Letic department made a deal with the NCAA that all current players and coaches would be dismissed from the program. That way it’s a clean break and hopefully some of the sanctions will be less severe. Take it for what it’s worth

Idk if McMahon is a good coach or not, but only an idiot would come into a situation with talented players like LSU and say “yea we don’t want any of you”. So it’s either BS or an order from higher up the food chain. Likely BS

This is an outright lie. I spoke to the mom of one of the players a couple of days ago. She said "of course the new staff wanted guys to stay". There has never been any mention of scholarships not being renewed. Guys are leaving because of the impending sanctions hanging over the program like a dark cloud. And because none of the players had any previous relationship with McMahon or the assistant coaches. She said "you dont build relationships over night. None of the guys had relationships with the new coach"

well since you dontbuild relationships overnight then they should give the new guy a chance to re recruit them and build that relationship. They will have to do the same thing with any other coach or school they choose to go to. They dont have any relationships with any other schools or coaches either
