Anyone with sense knows Woodward fired Wade because the NCAA was threatening to go after football. Up until that point Woody had Wades back. Actually, I didn’t downvote anyone. Also, the original post wasn’t as much about Woody as to the Ranters who kept saying Woody was amazing and saved the day with his quick hire…just to turn to shite.
I love LSU, and I supported Wade and will support Matt; however, the Ranters that worship Woody and thought he would save the day have been proven wrong.

McMahon would have destroyed Wade this year and most years. Wade is not a good coach. He over paid for recruits and got caught. It would have always been wait till next year. But he’s was better than we were used to. Still doesn’t make him any good. And he didn’t care to get caught and destroy this program in the process. He had to because his deficiencies in being an actual coach and teacher.

There are several moderate level boosters in my position that are not supporting the school entirely because of this. It is not about blaming anyone or whatever. He sacrificed basketball for football and he acts like some of us don’t matter who have literally donated hundreds of thousands of dollars. He could have fought this or took a 2 year suspension.

If you have no roster other than 2 transfers from a mid major and a possible third and a transfer from a directional state school plus a 3 star center is the program really saved.
Is it worse to get hit with sanctions and finish last or fire the coach maybe or maybe not get sanctions but end up with 0 5 or 4 star players and a dead roster?
