Anyone else think he should be starting on Sundays instead of Friday's?

I agree that he isn’t an sec Friday guy. But on this team he is our best bet. They way baseball schedule and recruiting schedule match up it is hard to get a next season ready Friday guy after a coaching change. You hope to have one on the roster when you arrive as new coach. This roster did not have that.

He’s not an SEC Friday guy but we don’t have a SEC quality pitching staff. He’s the best we got

If Money had been lifted just a little earlier you wouldn't be making this post. A little shaky in the second inning but otherwise looked fine - just left him in a bit too long. Not sure who else you think should be our Friday guy.

What’s wrong with money? He’s had like one bad start and that was last Friday vs Florida.
I know he was missing with a lot of pitches but overall he was good and if we get the out that Morgan got an error on then it would have been considered a great outing. So essentially what we’re looking at here is a guy that is gonna be charged 5 earned runs because the score keeper didn’t call it an error

He pitched 5 innings of what should’ve been shutout baseball. On this team that’s the best you can hope for from any starter.
No I don’t think he is a true SEC Friday guy yet. I think he can get there by the time he leaves LSU.

The guys starting sat and sun probably shouldn’t be weekend starters

I agree he is not what you what you want for a Friday starter. What you need there is a guy with way above average control and a dominant out pitch. He doesn’t have either of those but for now he’s hitting out and has had us in position to win every game he’s started. Imo we would be in great shape if he were our Saturday starter.
As for Friday, currently, we don’t seem to have a guy ready or capable of taking that role from him. I haven’t seen Dutton pitch more than once this year but I do believe he has the ability to be a top end starter in this league. A couple more outings will be revealing for him.
Friday needs a guy that is dominant. A guy that stays ahead in the count, has a hammer of an out pitch and manages to get through 6 or 7 innings regularly in 105 pitches.

He has actually pitched very well. Last night was an unfortunate circumstance. He should have gotten out of that inning without allowing any runs.
Eventually we will start the series off the right way and he will give us 6-7 innings while we rake and don't commit those key errors that lead to those big innings for the other team.

Our old coach didn’t think he was a starter period!

Yeah, It's Blake Moneys fault that our SS cant catch routine ground balls and make consistent throws to first base. Let's just demote him to midweek relief appearances. I swear some of you people on here were dropped on your heads as infants.

i still want to know what coach Bianco told Money in the dugout.

In thought he was the Thursday night starter.

If LSU played defense behind Money we would have won the game yesterday. I’m not blaming Morgan, because that was a tough play that I think was properly ruled a hit. But Jacob Berry and Dougherty both made errors that the pitcher had to overcome. Dougherty’s resulted in the winning run, Berry’s just extended Money’s outing.
