He’s not discussed often, but if Nikita Wilson had been on the ‘86 Final Four team to match up with Pervis Ellison we may have won it all. If I remember correctly he lost eligibility for the spring ‘86 semester due to academics.

Good call.

The whole starting lineup for that 1980-1981 is often overlooked I find.

I was coming to post Leonard Mitchell. Here is that roster. Final Four team. I was at LSU that year. The Kentucky game was lit. Place was packed.

Howard Carter
Rudy Macklin
Ethan Martin
Leonard Mitchell
Greg Cook
Willie Sims
Johnny Jones
Tyrone Black
John Tudor
Brian Bergeron
Andy Campbell
Matt England
Joe Costello
Brian Kistler

That's my vote.

My favorite point guard of all time for LSU.

So damn smooth.

Hickey led the nation in steals and Stringer had an impressive senior season

Charles Carmouche was a stabilizer

I will even put Andrew del Piero

He gets a bunch of jokes as a tuba player but he had 13 pts against a sec opponent

Vernell Singleton. He was overshadowed by plenty of bigger name players in his time but was consistent and always clutch.

My favorite player, but I am going to go in another direction. Maurice Williamson, he was overshadowed by Chris Jackson but he was good.

Tack Minor just because we loved seeing Brady scream at him.
