Wade only won one tournament game.
Will Wade’s teams won 3 games. They were 3-3 over 3 tournaments despite distractions caused by the investigation and steps taken by LSU administration. Team qualified for 3 straight NCAA tournaments and would have qualified for 4 if not for COVID. When was the last time lsu went to 3 or 4 straight tournaments? How many teams in the country have qualified for the kast 3 tournaments?
You’re being dishonest claiming Wade only won 1 tournament game although it’s technically correct. I like and support the McMahon hire and think it might be best longterm to move from the cloud over Wade and constant bombardment from Forde and Vitale. While I support Wade and love his teams, pretending like he didn’t get to and win in the postseason is incorrect.

Does anyone who has this take come from those with any experience managing people and managing risk? It just doesn’t seem like it. Their own experience’s in business would likely prevent having such a “black and white” approach to a world where decisions need to be made while weighing the differences in hues of grey.

Wade at the helm of one. The most overrated coach at LSU, ever.
His best run, someone else was at the helm. Never has a failed coach been so propped up by a fan base.

It seems that every program investigated in this scandal has fired the coach(es) when the NOA has presented compelling evidence against them?
Kansas fired the assistant
Auburn fired the assistant
NC State fired the coach
Arizona fired the coach
OK St fired the assistant
LSU fired the coach
is that true?
In fact, LSU seems to have waited longer than most of these in supporting Wade until the NOA that took years.
Seems most other programs are doing exactly what LSU is: firing coaches the NCAA revealed it had strong evidence against to show they're trying to comply and then fighting the idea that infractions went any higher up?
If the main evidence is against an assistant, they'll argue the head coach was kept in the dark. If it's against the head coach, they'll argue the AD/compliance dept were kept in the dark.

Wrong, Will Wade set LSU Basketball back
How did will Wade set us back? Back to what?
Give us the record, previous to Wade, and compare it to Wade's record.
Woodward, supposedly to protect football, removed any fair comparison of the future. So Wade had to be sacrificed, to pay for Miles and Orgerons sins?
Wade came here with basketball down and out. He revived it. If Wade had been allowed to coach in the tournament, maybe the players would not have been angry and ready to leave.
Maybe what was built by Wade could have been sustained into the new regime.
Now its on Woodward and his hire.

Will Wade is 100% to blame for whats coming. No one else.

Because everyone in your camp points to Kansas and says Woody handled ir poorly let’s discuss a hypothetical:
KU Football receives the same NOA that LSU MBB received. Would the AD fire the football coach to protect KU football?
You bet your azz he would.

Nah, NIL is the game changer and Woody needs to figure out how to be the best. Kids don’t love LSU like the fans do except for a few. The money will land the studs regardless of who is coaching.

I don't recall the Kansas NOA indicating that people were paid from Self's personal joint checking account.
Just because you post things on the internet does not make it true.

You really think you…the fan base…have all of the relevant facts that lead to Woodward’s decision.
To be fair, these fans also attend all of LSU baseball practices and know who should be starting.

With the transfer portal being what it is, I think the right coach can turn it around rather quickly.
Let’s hope it’s McMahon.

Woody was not paying players, boasting about a offer, or writing checks out of his personal account to shut someone up. When you color outside the lines you have to be a bit wiser that Wade was. This all on Wade and I really like the guy.
Woody and the University are left with a hot mess to clean up to try to avoid the most sever punishment by the NCAA like it or now.
Only good thing is the portal should help minimize the time the program is rebuilding depending on the punishment.
To blame Woody for this is insane.

not out of the coach’s checking account you can’t.
or anyone else directly employed by the University either.

The reality is the NOA sounds really bad, the question is what proof backs up the allegations.
just because we haven’t seen the proof, doesn’t mean Woody hasn’t.

I understand that, but soon LLCs will be setup that LSU is funneling taf money into. And it will all be legal The whole thing to "fire Wade because he paid a player" is moronic with what is on the horizon.

He wasn't fired for paying a player
He was fired for that plus multiple other things like lying to his superiors and the NCAA.

No, Wade did. I am tired of the knee jerk stupid posts such as yours.
