Daniels is a big boy. Idk what I was expecting but he's a lot taller than I thought
I'm assuming Daniels is 5

Walker looks the shortest

According to LSUsports.net... Walker Howard is the shortest.
He's listed at 6'0... which means he's probably closer to 5'10 and 3/4 - 5'11 1/4
Myles Brennan listed at 6'4
Jayden Daniels listed at 6'3
Nussmeier listed at 6'1

Walker obviously looked the worst.
Nuss is dripping with potential.
Myles looked like the vet in those drills.
Jayden looked solid.

Fast armed though.
I don't think Bech and the talented LSU WR's GAF if the LSU QB's can run fast or not.
All they want is an accurate passer that can get the ball in their hands effectively!
Look in today’s game, QB have to be able to make plays with their feet. I’m not saying they need to be Vick or Josh Allen but Mahomes or Rodgers like (hell even Brees). Basically when on 3rd and 3 and the defense is playing coverage, the QB needs to be a threat to pick up that yardage himself. Requiring the defense to at least “account” for the QB is a HUGE deal.

People have been saying this for 15 years. It's not anymore true now than it ever has been.

It may be the Jersey being bigger but Walker’s body compared to the others looks like he just got out of high school. A redshirt year is exactly what he needs.

Is it though? The athlete part in QB’s have progressed significantly in the last 15 yrs. I am not saying he needs to be Vick or Cam but just good enough to make defenses concerned that he could scramble for a first on 3rd and short/medium.

I'm not sure if there are still 4 in it when the season starts
I'm 100% sure we will have less than 4 by the time fall camp starts. With a strong possibility we'll have 2.
There are 6 on the team now with Faulk and O'Dowd, two RS Freshmen.
But I get what you are saying. If Daniels wins the starting job by the end of spring, pretty good chance Brennan and Nuss transfer.

Bryce Young, burrow, corral, Mahomes, Herbert, all have great running ability that allows them to create when plays break down. It absolutely needs to be part of a qbs game. Especially when your oline 2-4 new players getting playing time on it (fiu kid, shorts, Campbell & jones potentially). Doesn't have to run a 4.5 or anything, just ability to escape 1 guy, and if they can run effectively it adds a dimension on rpo's/options. Just something else for defense to think each play
That's what was so frustrating with max. He was supposed to be dual threat, and until the atm game, he forgot he could run up field when escaping the pocket.

This. QB in college needs to be able to pick up first and often it requires more than 3 yards. Burrow was great at it. To beat Bama you need this QB threat.

I think a lot of this reasoning was the fact we had 2 QB's, one being a freshman. We couldn't allow Max to run the ball a lot out of fear of injury

Agreed, cant wait to see some more. Myles has his work cut out if he wants to start.

Maybe you just haven’t been paying attention for the last 15 years. Except for Brady, all of the top qb’s now have some scrambling ability. Even Brady is known for his movement with it the pocket.

I say the same applies when Brennan wins the starting by the end of spring it’s good chance that Daniels and Nuss will transfer.
