Enjoyed the trip to Mossy Oak and Old Waverly in West Point, MS. The onsite cabins at Mossy Oak are great for a guys trip

Good local trip, if you are getting on a plane Michigan has the best golf

Went there with the wife for our anniversary last year. Really nice place, but the cost per round is downright crazy. I like to play nicer courses, but dropping on average of $250 per round, per person, for some of their courses that are nice but nothing special gets very expensive quickly.

Just got back from Old Waverly/ Mossy Oak for the second time... Really good value for what you spend. Mossy Oak is a top 100, easily

Whatever you do, make sure you find a place where you can stay on site. It makes everybody's life easier and no matter how responsible the group, you don't want to be a baby sitter. Probably more expensive, but that should weed some people out.

All the obvious answers are great, but I'd look for something more off the path.

Arbor Links in Nebraska City, Nebraska is amazing. Hard to get out there, but you may be able to call or find a way in.

Prairie Club - Valentine, NE. Amazing

Sand Valley - Wisconsin

Old Waverly - Mississippi

If you do NC, do Tobacco Rd, Pine Needles, and others. Pinehurst is overrated in my opinion. Disney World esque.

Shangrilah - Grand Lake, OK - Pretty good. Great lodging.

Big Cedar/Ozarks - Great options now with Payne's Valley and others.

Can't emphasize the staying on site piece enough. Every golf trip I have been on, this is a game changer and the difference between a good and great trip.

Lake Charles makes for a short get away from NOLA. The Golden Nugget course is one of the nicest in the area (just held the Korn Ferry Tour here). Stay at the casino, bounce between Golden Nugget and L'Auberge.

We have a group of 20-28 of us that go and play at South Lake Tahoe every June. We play 3 rounds at Edgewood on the lake a couple of weeks before the celebrity tournament

Lajitas Golf Resort in west Texas

Everyone I have talked to that went there said it is world class. Lots of things to do other than golf as well. They do Charter Jets out of Houston

I've been on the trip, they do charter flights from Houston and Dallas. Crazy mice course, resorts pretty cool but you're trapped there. The place is on the middle of freaking nowhere. We went for a wedding and weren't able to charter the flight. So we flew from Dallas to odessa and it was still 4-5 hours drive from there
