Before he got injured
Record - 5-2
TD - 14
INT - 3
Passer rating - 102.8
QBR - 64.4 ( higher than Stafford, Mahommes, Allen, Burrow, Wilson, Watson of 2020)
This all without a legit WR on the team.
Sign Winston to a 5 year 100 million dollar deal and use the 30 mil savings on another elite playmaker.

Anyone saying anything else needs to do a reality check on how we looked with Winston last year. Is he as good as Watson? Probably not. Does he still have potential to be a really good qb to lead this team going forward. Yeeeep.

If Winston actually said yes to a 5 year 100 million dollar deal he, Thomas, and Kamara would be the same price about as Watson.

He would not take that unless it had escalators or bonuses for production built in to get it significantly higher. Would guess he is looked for at least $18-$20 million a year if he performs.

And name the team that is giving him 18-20 million a year this year coming off an injury. I’ll wait.
He’ll likely get 12-15 a year with incentives that could bump it up to that level.

I’d rather trade for Minshew and roll with him. I’m not sure he’s even making a million a year.

3 years $45 million. It’s still cheap for a starting QB and allows us room to make other moves. Then if he performs you have the option of trading him for a decent return if they decide to draft a QB down the line. If he’s only average then $15 mil a year with about half of the $45 mil guaranteed allows you to basically move on after 1-2 years.
