After asking around, feeling is Falcons have stood strong in Deshaun Watson process and Watson has felt the love as far as the team's plan and recruitment, with many people reaching out. Falcons can load up in 2023 w/ ample cap space. Short term, can add FA WRs and RBs pieces.

As of this afternoon the #Panthers #Saints and #Falcons hadn't been eliminated. Saints have been firmly in mix. The chance to win big and win soon is high on Watson's priority list, and New Orleans offers that in short term. Panthers good roster, as well.

Falcons offense isn't as far off as people think, especially if they get Watson.

They could be a dangerous team in 2023 if they get him

Who is there RB and who is going to catch the ball from Watson besides Pitts (if he doesn't go to Houston). Also, have you seen there O-line lately? They are horrible.

they have no WRs, a terrible OL and no RBs. They won't have any first round picks to improve it for 3 years if they get Watson

Sure they could surround him with pieces like Allen Robinson but their OL, which Watson has wanted for so long in Houston, is garbage.

And their defense is also not good. Their secondary and DL is terrible. If he goes there, he goes there simply on nostalgia and wanting to be home with the chance of building a winner. They’re in better position than Houston. But if Watson wants to win and win now and be protected for the better part of his career by multiple pro bowl OL, then it shouldn’t be this hard.

I think he chooses Atlanta because he’s a fricking idiot

Atlanta has never had a hard time getting old vets to sign up there. They will be able to put a decent offense around him, probably as early as this year.

They have Kyle Pitts and Calvin Ridley

Yeah Calvin ridley isnt going to be playing in 2022 but that's why I said 2023.

Plus the Falcons are gonna be a big player in the 2023 FA market if they land Watson.

The Saints have just as many weapons as the Falcons

Kamara & Thomas

Ridley and Pitts

For sure. That will be the allure. But if he was smart, he’d value the OL and defenses of both as well, which the Falcons won’t be able to upgrade much since most of their cap will be focused on putting weapons around him, which they don’t have yet.

That's the sales pitch to Watson, but they would need to sign 3 offensive lineman, a RB, and at least two WRs. They don't have the picks for future years, so they better have plenty of cap room. Oh, did I forget to mention Matt Ryan is due $40+ million next year.

That's also assuming Pitts isn't traded and Ridley comes back
